Buildiro's new investment round on Seedrs aims to raise at least £300,000 to help boost affiliate sales and more

Press Release: March 21, 2022

Europe's leading online private investment platform, Buildiro.com, has launched a crowdfunding investment round on Seedrs.

The United Kingdom's digital marketplace for builders, tradespeople, as well as DIY enthusiasts, aims to raise at least £300,000. These funds will help boost affiliate sales and activate merchants. They will also assist in growing site traffic and strengthen search-engine algorithms.

That’s not all, the funds will support the development of a range of new features as well. Some of these features include product price histories, returning customer “favourites” list and related search results. There is also an API integration for merchants and developers to access a real-time product data an the Buildiro Eco-Index, which will help rank materials based on environmental and carbon footprints.

The founder and CEO of Buildiro, Luke Polach, said: “Crowdfunding is a wonderful way to grow our brand loyalty and position us for long-term success.”

Polach further revealed why Buildiro was created and how it’s an investment in the future: “The construction industry is one of the last to digitize, and Buildiro was created to close the technological gap. Backing Buildiro is more than an investment in a single idea; it’s an investment in the future of an industry.”

Buildiro.com, which was developed by former UK-based contractor, Polach, connects consumers with merchants by using affiliate marketing. Similar to Amazon for construction materials, Buildiro enables searching across inventories of participating merchants co compare costs and product availability easier. Search results on the site can also be filtered by brand, colour, size or price. The sales are easily completed on the affiliate merchant’s site.

There are three factors that affect the materials supply chain for small- and medium-sized contractors. They include  availability, distance from the job site, and price. With a product offering of more than 500,000 in its database, Buildiro.com eases navigation of these variables. This is achieved by ensuring efficient access to materials, tools, and supplies for buyers as well as better online visibility for merchants.

Buildiro has created new commercial opportunities for dozens of UK merchants and to date, has secured numerous rounds of seed funding for its solution.
More than 40 of the UK’s leading materials suppliers are already part of the Buildiro affiliate programme. So.e of the suppliers are online retailers B&Q, Wickes, Mano Mano UK, Robert Dyas, and Travis Perkins.

Buildiro will expand into new cities, region, and countries, connecting the world’s home-improvement merchants with an ever-larger customer base through the help of future funding rounds. Already, 14 new merchants have joined Buildiro since the Seedrs campaign started.
