Student Who Drives Ambulances to War Zones Starts Festival for 15,000 People
GLASGOW, UK. January 13th, 2025 - A student who drove ambulances to Ukraine, Gaza and many other war zones to help civilians is launching a family friendly festival in Glasgow for 15,000 people on 2 August, 2025.

Fun For Life Fest has been described as a fun festival for families and friends that has a touch of kindness by organiser Umran Ali Javaid. This is because some of the profits of the event will be used to deliver 15 second hand ambulances to many countries around the world including an electric ambulance to a UK care home.

The event will see performers and comedians on the main stage, with a full line up set to be announced soon.  A sports section which will include an influencer football match and another section where attendees can also participate in different sports.  There will be a storytelling section for adults and children and an outdoor cinema area.

There are also limited spaces for yoga classes, workshops, painting, jewellery making and much more included in the price of a ticket. The limited spaces can be booked online on a first come, first serve basis at www.funforlifefest.com.

The festival will be held at Tollcross Park which is famous for its unique rose garden, and the park will be able to accommodate the activities and the number of guests. The location has good transport links as Carntyne train station is a few minutes walk from the park. Tollcross park has a rich history where huge concerts use to be held and organisers feel its time to showcase what the amazing park currently has to offer.

Last year, Umran Ali Javaid won the Most Inspirational Student from AEME (Association of Event Management Education) among other awards. He has delivered over 40 ambulances around the world, graduating with a first class honours in International Tourism and Event Management at Glasgow Caledonian University and just finishing off his masters in the same subject.

He said “I'm really excited to showcase this festival which will be innovative, great value for money and a memorable experience for all ages. We have an excellent team of professionals and partners working with us who have decades of event experience and aim to deliver the festival to a high standard.”

“The festival will have a range of different artists and activities so there will be lots to do, there will also be an immersive experience section and a drone light show towards the end of the festival.  Another positive aspect is that some of the profits of our business will be used to deliver 15 ambulances to many countries around the world including an electric ambulance to a UK care home. This will allow us to put kindness in the heart of our business, the ambulances are not a big deal as hundreds of thousands still need help but at least they can make a little difference and hopefully save some civilian lives.”

“I’ve put my two passions together to create this festival which will be a safe space for families and friends so they can enjoy a memorable experience together and deliver ambulances on a larger scale”
