LONDON, UK, 14 February 2024 - Global business and technology consulting firm BBGC has been awarded a CTRM Managed Services contract by leading global mining group Rio Tinto.

With expertise spanning energy, commodities, and financial services, BBGC's global presence across the UK, USA, Singapore, UAE, and India uniquely positions the firm as a trusted partner in the CTRM space. Offering a comprehensive suite of services, including full delivery lifecycle coverage, strategic IT consulting, product selection, and implementation, BBGC is poised to further complement Rio Tinto's operational efficiency and risk management capabilities.

BBGC’s experience in trading solutions as well as advanced analytics can help users process, extract, market, trade, or consume commodities to make an informed decision and take control of their business operations. This comes with data-driven support to manage position visibility, regulatory compliance, and risk management.

Amir Soufizadeh, Director at BBGC, highlighted the company's commitment to reliability and security in commodity trading platform management. "At BBGC, we prioritize the security and competitiveness of our clients' trading operations," said Soufizadeh.

"Our Modern Managed Services, supported by a distributed team across multiple locations, ensure continuous support, improvements, and cost-effective enhancements."

The partnership between BBGC and Rio Tinto underscores BBGC's track record of delivering high-quality solutions. "Being trusted by a company of Rio Tinto's caliber is a testament to the quality of our work," added Soufizadeh. Rio Tinto is a global mining company with 150 years of experience. The company was founded in 1873 and is named after the Rio Tinto, or red river, area of Southern Spain where its mining operations began.

Today the company is the world's second largest metals and mining corporation and operates projects in 35 countries in mines, smelters and refineries, as well as in sales offices, data centres, research and development labs and with artificial intelligence.

Marcus Ang, Senior Product Manager at Rio Tinto said: “We are thrilled to strengthen our partnership with BBGC as we continue to anchor a stable operational foundation while expanding our Commodities trading capabilities in the years ahead.
