HULL, UK. 22nd October, 2024 - This November, Hull is set to welcome a new steakhouse restaurant and lounge, bringing local Yorkshire produce, rooftop cocktails and riverside views to the Witham area.
One Steakhouse & Lounge is a new, 200-seat steakhouse restaurant and cocktail bar located inside a distinctive 1930s building. The space, dating back almost one century, is a familiar site for those coming over North Bridge and has stood empty now for nearly a decade.
The new restaurant has seen the interior revitalised, with decadent ground-floor seating, an intimate mezzanine and a riverside rooftop bar.
Edison Motina, co-owner of One Steakhouse & Lounge, said: "When I first saw the interior, I knew it had the potential to be a really vibrant place. The building has seen Hull through thick and thin and remains a key piece of the area's history. It only felt right to show it the love it deserves and allow people from the present day to continue enjoying it."
One Steakhouse & Lounge will have a strong focus on serving exceptional-quality local produce brought to life using Mediterranean flavours. Diners will be able to choose from starters such as king scallops and belly pork, goat's cheese with roast peppers and a balsamic reduction, and shell-on tiger prawns with garlic, chilli and herb butter.
The stars of the show are the selection of premium, 32-day dry-aged steaks sourced directly from Yorkshire farmers. This includes bone-in sharing cuts like the tomahawk and porterhouse, along with personal steaks, from the ribeye to T-bone, fillet and more.
Edison continued: "We decided early on to only serve locally sourced Yorkshire meat, which is something that is incredibly important to us. Our main aim has always been to offer the finest, freshest produce whilst supporting and celebrating our local farmers. I'm really proud of the menu our chefs put together."
Paired with the varied selection of dishes will be a menu of artisanal cocktails and wines.
One Steakhouse & Lounge will launch on Friday 1 November, with an exclusive VIP night, before opening to the public the next day. The restaurant and bar will be open seven days a week, and tables will be available to book on the website. For more information, visit onesteakhouse.co.uk.
