COVENTRY, UK. 15th August, 2024 - Miniatura, the internationally renowned dolls’ house show that has celebrated the artistry of miniatures for over four decades, is set to reach a monumental milestone with its 100th exhibition. The landmark event will take place on the 14th and 15th of September 2024 at Stoneleigh Park NAEC.
Since its inception, Miniatura has been a premier event for miniature enthusiasts, showcasing the finest in small-scale artistry. The 100th exhibition will feature the established mix of expert artists and passionate amateurs showing some of the best modelling techniques in the world.
To mark this special occasion, many exhibitors have planned exciting events and displays. Highlights include Jane Laverick from Warwick, UK, who is offering a special promotion of a free (mini) slice of cake for the first 100 customers each day. Kim Murdock has travelled from Australia to bring her exquisite dolls, while David Bishop will provide expert advice on wiring dolls' houses. Additionally, Leo from Entranced Glassworks will perform the show’s first-ever glass blowing demonstration. There are always new exhibitors of course like Cornel's Creations Ltd who is bringing his popular kit houses for the first time.
Visitors can expect to enjoy high-quality miniatures, meet the artists, and experience a variety of special events. The show promises plenty of public seating and wide aisles, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable visit.
Located just south of Coventry, Stoneleigh Park NAEC offers easy access from all parts of the UK. There is ample free parking, and a complimentary shuttle bus service will be available from Coventry train station directly to the event venue.
Andy Hopwood, the organiser of Miniatura, expressed his excitement about the upcoming show: “It is such a privilege to be able to promote the work of so many talented makers. The miniatures are obviously what visitors come to see but it’s the people that truly make this such a special show. It really is the smiling faces that makes it all worthwhile.”
