Inaugural Duracell Energy hub now open in the centre of Cheltenham
CHELTENHAM, UK. July 19th, 2024 - Authorised Duracell licensee, Puredrive Energy Ltd is opening its first ever store within the historic Cavendish House, in the heart of Cheltenham town centre.

As the demand for more reliable and cleaner energy to power homes continues to grow, and pressure on the national grid capabilities continue to be squeezed, battery storage systems offer many benefits to homeowners including the ability to save up to 85% on their electricity bill, buy electricity at the cheapest rates and only use it when required.

Members of the public will be able to find out how they can save money on their home energy bills via the range of Duracell Energy home battery products at the first of its kind store based in Cavendish House, Cheltenham.

A typical house uses up to 10kWh per day of electricity which equates to an average annual bill for a medium three-bedroom house of £937. Adding a home battery to a property can cut energy bills by as much as £796 per year when combined with solar panels, according to British Gas.

Cheltenham-based Puredrive Energy launched the ecosystem of Duracell Energy products to the UK market back in March at the Fully Charged Show, London. The range of battery storage solutions including the Dura5 5kWh battery, the Dura-i Inverter and the Duracharger EV will be exclusively sold by Puredrive Energy in the UK. The products offer full integration to provide homeowners with a comprehensive solution to lowering the cost of their bills as well as reducing their carbon footprint.

Cavendish House, located right at the heart of Cheltenham on the Promenade, was first established in 1823, making it the town’s oldest department store. In recent years high street giant House of Fraser had occupied the building until the store’s closure earlier this year.

Puredrive Energy CEO, Mark Millar said: “This is the first time in our company’s history we will have boots on the ground within a fixed location.

"The first ever Duracell Energy store is now open and will be a hub to support homeowners in making an informed decision on home battery solutions to save money on their energy as well as minimise their environmental impact.

“Amid uncertainty within the energy market and the increased dependency on the national grid, customers will be able to obtain a quote for our home battery storage solutions from our own dedicated Duracell Energy team.”

For more information, homeowners can obtain a quote in 30 seconds via the Duracell Energy website at app-uk.duracellenergy.com/quote-calculator.
