Hull-based web design and digital marketing agency Eyeweb kicks off their 1000-mile walking challenge to raise much-needed funds for Hull Animal Welfare Trust.
HULL, UK. 1st October, 2024 - The team at Eyeweb has dubbed the challenge ‘Walkies for Welfare’, which requires the seven members to walk the total distance over the month of October.
The event aims to raise £1000 for Hull Animal Welfare Trust, a charity dedicated to finding homes for abandoned and mistreated animals.
Paul Scott, Managing Director of Eyeweb, said: “As pet parents ourselves, Hull Animal Welfare Trust holds a special place in our hearts. Walkies for Welfare is a great way for us to push ourselves and get active while helping a charity continue its incredible work. We’re excited to give something back to our community.”
The trust has been active since 1982 and has since rehomed over 30,000 pets. As costs rise, fundraisers like Walkies for Welfare are crucial to the survival of these non-profit organisations.
"We really appreciate the team at Eyeweb for doing this fundraiser to help the animals in our care.” Said Natalie Rhodes of Hull Animal Welfare Trust. “Times are very tough currently, and we cannot thank them enough for choosing to support us.”
In a recent post on Facebook, the charity echoed the same thoughts: “Our funding is solely from public donations - we do not receive any government or official funding help...we have to be very, very careful with outgoings.”
Local gift hamper company Peach Hampers is the first business to sponsor the Walkies for Welfare challenge, providing a premium gift hamper worth £68 that can be won by a lucky donor. Anyone who donates £10 or more during October will be automatically entered into the raffle.
As well as being of significant help to Hull Animal Welfare Trust, this sponsorship gets your company logo on all event marketing materials. For more information, email paul@eyeweb.co.uk.
