WILTSHIRE, UK. January 29th, 2025 - Leading Wiltshire recruitment firm CMD recruitment has published its latest Salary Guide, including key data on working patterns, skills in demand and desired benefits.
The 28-page guide covers everything from pre-boarding to the influence of AI and predictions for the 2025 recruitment market.
Key findings include that while there has been a decline in hiring fully remote positions, 85% of companies actively promote and embrace a hybrid model. The guide claims that 77% of Gen Z employees prioritise work-life balance, making flexible work arrangements essential.
Tim Barfoot, CEO of CMD Recruitment said: “The 2024 recruitment market has seen significant shifts and challenges, primarily driven by the change in government and the subsequent introduction of a new budget.
“By combining our expert local knowledge with a comprehensive analysis of the wider UK labour market, our report offers valuable insights to help employers navigate the complexities of the recruitment landscape.”
The guide also reveals that 77% of job seekers consider a company’s reputation before applying, while 75% of candidates research a company’s culture. Retaining top talent is also covered, with 72% of employees surveyed saying they are more likely to stay with a company that offers attractive perks.
The CMD Salary Guide concludes with predictions for 2025, which it claims will be shaped by technology, flexible work structures and employee-driven changes.
Tim Barfoot added: “Flexibility in work schedules and locations will continue to dominate and employee well-being will be a growing priority as work-life balance becomes increasingly central to job satisfaction.
“We also anticipate that AI and automation are expected to take over more tasks currently performed by humans, but this will equate to a transformation of roles rather than job losses.”
