Blake Mill Champions Mental Health Awareness with Support for Mind
MANCHESTER, UK. June 27th, 2024 - Blake Mill, a company renowned for its innovative designs and commitment to social causes, has partnered with Mind and released a special collection to support the charity.

By partnering with Mind, Blake Mill is raising funds and promoting a broader conversation about mental health. This collaboration underscores the company's belief that businesses have a vital role to play in social issues, using their platforms to foster positive change. Blake Mill's support extends beyond financial contributions; it's about creating a culture of understanding and support within the company and the broader community.

In line with this ethos, Blake Mill's 'Mind Over Matter' collection is designed to be aesthetically pleasing and serve as a symbol of solidarity with those facing mental health challenges. A percentage of sales from the collection will be donated to Mind.

Ken Price, CEO of Blake Mill said: “All of us here at Blake Mill have experience with mental health issues either personally or through family or friends. This personal connection drives our passion and commitment to making a difference.

"We understand the importance of the excellent work that Mind is doing in this area and are proud to support them. Mental health is a critical issue that affects millions, and it's our responsibility to contribute to the efforts aimed at providing support, raising awareness, and eliminating the stigma associated with mental health problems.

"We want our customers to wear these shirts with pride, knowing that their purchase supports a significant cause. It's about more than just fashion; it's about making a statement and contributing to a larger movement. Each sale from this collection helps Mind continue its critical work in supporting mental health services across the UK."

Mind is England and Wales's leading mental health charity, providing essential advice and support to empower anyone experiencing mental health problems. The organisation tirelessly campaigns to improve services, raise awareness, and promote understanding, ensuring that no one has to face mental health challenges alone.

Ian O'Reilly, Head of Community & Events Fundraising at Mind, expressed gratitude for Blake Mill's support. He said: "We are really grateful to Blake Mill for choosing to support Mind by donating a percentage of sales of their newly launched 'Mind Over Matter' collection of designer shirts.

“It's a difficult time, with many of us now feeling the impact of the cost of living crisis on our mental health and well-being, especially those with existing mental health problems. One in four of us will experience a mental health problem in any given year, and it's so important that no one has to face this alone.

"Every donation that Mind receives allows us to campaign to improve services and provide information and support. This includes services such as the Mind Infoline, legal line, and our online peer support community for adults, Side by Side, so we can be there for as many people who need us as possible."

Peter Clarke concluded: “Our initiative not only highlights our commitment to social responsibility but also serves as an inspiring example of how businesses can positively impact mental health awareness. Through our support of Mind, we want to demonstrate that fashion can be a powerful vehicle for change, fostering a community of support and understanding for those facing mental health challenges.”
