Fusion Connect with Capital Relaunches, Inviting New Cohort of Space Pioneers
LONDON, UK. October 8th, 2024 – In a rapidly evolving space sector that remains unfamiliar to many investors, innovative entrepreneurs often struggle to secure the funding necessary to advance their groundbreaking ideas. The UK Space Agency is therefore thrilled to announce the return of the Fusion Connect with Capital Programme, an initiative specifically designed to fast-track space entrepreneurs towards securing investment in just six months. This programme is a vital part of the UK Space Agency’s commitment to fueling innovation and driving investment in the UK’s expanding space industry.

In partnership with Entrepreneurial Spark and Exotopic, the UK Space Agency will empower the next cohort of UK’s most promising space startups by providing them with exceptional access to both business and technical expertise. Participants will benefit from personalised one-to-one coaching with top investment experts, hands-on workshops, and an intensive boot camp - all tailored to sharpen their investor pitches and prepare them to raise up to £2 million in pre-seed and seed funding.

The journey culminates in an exclusive Demo Day, where the entrepreneurs will showcase their investment-ready businesses to a select audience of angel investors, venture capitalists, and key stakeholders.

Portia Bircher, Business Support and Growth Manager at UK Space Agency, emphasised the importance of this initiative. She said: “After successfully supporting 13 space startups in our first edition, we’re excited to broaden our impact by supporting a new cohort and strengthening the entire space startup ecosystem.”

Mike Stephens, CEO of Entrepreneurial Spark, added: “This programme is a fantastic opportunity to empower the growing space sector. Together with the UK Space Agency and Exotopic, we aim to cultivate a dynamic environment where businesses can raise capital and accelerate their innovations.”

Applications opened on 7th October 2024, inviting startups that are utilising or building space technology and seeking to raise up to £2 million in investment to apply. Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to elevate your space venture to new heights.
